Teener

The term ‘teener’ is used to describe an amount of drugs that weigh a sixteenth of an ounce. A “teener” is street slang for one-sixteenth of an ounce (1.75 grams) of drugs, commonly used for measurements of cocaine but it may apply to other drugs. The term is synonymous with “teenth” or “teenager.” These quantities are usually sold in small plastic bags.

Regarding consumption, meth, a powerful stimulant, can be snorted, swallowed, injected or smoked. It’s known for its high dopamine release, resulting in a strong rush or high. Cocaine, derived from coca leaves, is sold as a powder or in rock form (crack cocaine). It can be snorted, injected or smoked, often mixed with heroin for a more intense high. Meth generally causes a more prolonged and intense high compared to cocaine.

Both meth and cocaine are Schedule II controlled substances. They share several adverse effects, such as appetite loss, increased heart rate, risk of heart attack, stroke and death. Meth can additionally cause extreme anorexia and severe dental problems, while cocaine use can lead to respiratory issues and heart disease.
